Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Uabos Spain Ln. As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing minor and major maintenance on various types of General and Special purpose vehicles and equipment, including flightline and heavy construction assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor and major maintenance on Government Vehicles (GOVs), and complete vehicle work order request forms according to Air Force instructions (AFI).
  • Inspect and repair military, industrial, and commercial designed base maintenance, material handling, special purpose, general purpose vehicles.
  • Determine the general condition of Government vehicles and perform Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs).
  • Diagnose unusual noises, road test, and operate vehicles to test components.
  • Remove, disassemble, repair, replace components, assemblies, and subassemblies, and reinstall as required to maintain vehicles in safe operating conditions.
  • Perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping systems, cable and hydraulic lifting equipment, forklifts, towing equipment, gasoline, and diesel-powered engines.
  • Make operational adjustments on drag brakes, relief valves, operating chains, lift cylinders, clutches, transmissions, brakes, and engine components.
  • Perform lubrication, oil and filter changes on Government fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform minor corrosion control repairs detected during safety, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections.
  • Perform collateral duties associated with vehicle maintenance practices, including administrative processes such as vehicle work order and parts request forms.
Requirements
  • Must be certified as a vehicle mechanic and mechanical systems.
  • Must have a host nation or equivalent driver's permit.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English at a basic level 1 (B1).
