About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanics in performing maintenance on various types of vehicles and equipment at Morón Air Base in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day maintenance operations, performing minor and major maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are returned to service in safe and serviceable condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of mechanics to perform maintenance on Government War Readiness Material (WRM) vehicles and equipment.
- Perform minor and major maintenance on Government Vehicles (GOVs) and complete vehicle work order request forms according to Air Force instructions.
- Inspect and repair military, industrial, and commercial designed base maintenance, material handling, special purpose, general purpose vehicles.
- Determine the general condition of Government vehicles and perform Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs).
- Diagnose unusual noises, road test, and operate vehicles to test components.
- Remove, disassemble, repair, and replace components, assemblies and subassemblies, and reinstall as required to maintain vehicles in safe operating conditions.
- Perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping systems, cable and hydraulic lifting equipment, forklifts, towing equipment, gasoline, and diesel-powered engines.
- Make operational adjustments on drag brakes, relief valves, operating chains, lift cylinders, clutches, transmissions, brakes, and engine components.
- Perform lubrication, oil and filter changes on Government fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Perform minor corrosion control repairs detected during safety, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections.
- Perform collateral duties associated with vehicle maintenance practices, including administrative processes.
Requirements:
- Must be certified as a vehicle mechanic and mechanical systems.
- Must have a host nation or equivalent driver's permit.
