About the Role:

As a Compliance Officer at Default, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare client KYC and CDD files for final review by the Head of AML, while also maintaining an overview of complete and incomplete KYC/CDD records and ensuring action is taken to complete all CDD records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing client KYC and CDD files for final review by the Head of AML
  • Maintaining an overview of complete and incomplete KYC/CDD records and ensuring action is taken to complete all CDD records
  • Timely follow up on pending KYC/CDD requests keeping compliance with CCT escalation and follow up procedures
  • Manage maintenance and safekeeping of KYC/CDD documents and files
  • Liaising with business teams on a daily basis responding to client AML queries
  • Ensuring queries and emails are responded to in a timely and accurate manner
  • Clearing and/or investigating/verifying possible matches as generated by the scanning application that Citco uses to scan their client base against lists of undesirable persons
  • Maintaining a database of High Risk clients and ensuring the appropriate actions is taken with regards to these
  • Keeping informed as to present and future legislation and regulatory developments in the jurisdiction
  • Assisting with clients specific KYC/CDD reviews
  • Ensuring the AML applications are consistent with the Company's AML policy and risk assessment
  • Acting as an escalation point for clients and Citco employees on all AML/CDD queries
  • Providing information to management in respect of AML/CDD issues arising
  • Maintaining delivery of a high quality service level to clients and other Citco departments ensuring all queries are dealt with in a professional manner and escalating where appropriate
  • Managing specific projects which may arise from time to time

About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer who possesses a Bachelor degree or country equivalent in civil law/corporate law or a related discipline, as well as 5+ years' experience in the financial service industry. You should have a strong understanding of local KYC/AML framework and knowledge of recent legislative developments (e.g. AMLD4, etc.). Additionally, you should be savvy with Microsoft office applications, able to work efficiently under pressure, and possess strong research, analytical and reporting skills.
