Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

NBCUniversal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our International Networks & DTC Legal team in EMEA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance to our business stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Legal Counsel, Madrid in staying up to date with, and advising the business on, relevant matters of broadcast regulation, including content ratings, protection of minors, European Works quotas, and advertising rules.
  • Assist with, and respond to queries from the business on, various contracting matters for Iberia and the wider EMEA business, including channel distribution, programme acquisitions, ad sales, sponsorship and client partnerships, marketing services, and technical operations.
  • Support the Senior Legal Counsel, Madrid in coordinating, preparing, and submitting regulatory filings, such as CNMC information requests, Socrates reports, Broadcasting and Investment Quota declarations.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on programming rights and restrictions, and maintain the programme rights database.
  • Support the wider International Networks & DTC Legal team in EMEA with new vendor onboarding/security reviews, contract reviews and reports, and contract management.

Qualifications:

  • Certified to practise law in Spain and eligible to work in Spain.
  • Excellent communication skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and good interpersonal skills, with a proactive can-do approach and ability to work as part of a team across different business areas.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong interest in media/intellectual property.
  • Fluent English language (written and spoken).
