Supply Chain Transport Specialist

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract with the intention to lead to a permanent position.

We are looking for a Transport Planner to manage the logistics of product deliveries and incoming raw materials for our operations, ensuring effective collaboration with designated logistics partners for transport management and related documentation oversight. This position also involves internal coordination within the Supply Chain team to arrange loading and unloading schedules, working closely with the Warehouse team, and communicating with the Customer Service team regarding order dispatch and delivery updates to clients, as well as handling import and export documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with our logistics partners to secure transportation services for finished goods and raw materials. Oversee all relevant documentation for transportation, including customs paperwork, delivery confirmations, and shipping records. Coordinate with the Warehouse team to efficiently schedule loading and unloading operations. Work alongside the Customer Service team to ensure precise and timely communication of order dispatch and delivery details to clients. Manage import and export documentation, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards. Utilize SAP proficiently for transport-related transactions, including VL10g, VA06O, and other pertinent modules.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Experience in transport planning and logistics coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution context. Familiarity with transportation regulations, customs processes, and import/export documentation requirements is advantageous. Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems for managing transportation activities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
