Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our THSE Team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering Process Safety and Loss Prevention activities in Projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical knowledge, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry. A Master's degree in any safety studies and experience in Energy Transition technologies will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Process Hazard Analysis studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL as a facilitator
  • Develop and implement Process Safety and Loss Prevention strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery
  • Provide technical expertise in THSE software such as Pipenet, PHAST, PHA works, Flaresim, or equivalent
Requirements:
  • BSc. degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy transition industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' working experience as a Technical Safety Engineer
  • Master in any safety studies (Fire Fighting, Fire & Gas, HAZOP certification, NFPA certification will be an advantage)
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
  • Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required
