Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at The Chemical Engineer. As a key member of our process design team, you will be responsible for leading the development of process designs for our clients in the energy transition markets.
Responsibilities- Act as process project manager, ensuring that process engineering design activities are executed following client and company standards and procedures.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate teams, plan work, and provide clear technical guidance to ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the project manager to any business activity as required.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff, keeping up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
- Review and audit process engineering activity on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required.
- Ensure company and client health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work.
- Chemical Engineering degree.
- From 5 to 15 years of proven experience in process design engineering, working at different steps of a project starting from Basic Engineering, FEED, and EPC.
- Demonstrable experience is required in Oil & Gas projects (Crude and Vacuum distillation, Delayed Coker, Hydroprocessing, FCC, Sulphur block, Utilities & Offsites, etc).
- Experience in Energy Transition technologies (Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Bio-refineries, co-processing of vegetable oils, SAF) will be positively valued.
- Experience acting as Owner's engineering (PMC) will be highly valued.
- Customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives.
- Leading skills.
- Proficient in technical software like Aspen Hysys, Aspen Flare System Analyser, PRO-II, Promax, AFT Impulse.
- Excellent command of Spanish and English languages.
- Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
