About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Process Engineer to lead our Basic Design projects for international clients across the energy transition markets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing process engineering design activities, ensuring compliance with client and company standards, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as process project manager, reporting to the project manager, and ensure that process engineering design activities are executed according to schedule and budget.
  • Be accountable for the calculations, data sheets, narrative documents, and engineering diagrams prepared by team members.
  • Lead, coordinate, and motivate teams, plan work, and provide clear technical guidance.
  • Ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets using technical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the project manager as required.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technical developments in your field of expertise.
  • Review and audit process engineering activity on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Requirements
  • Chemical Engineering degree.
  • 5 to 15 years of proven experience in process design engineering, working at different stages of a project, including Basic Engineering, FEED, and EPC.
  • Demonstrable experience in Oil & Gas projects, including Crude and Vacuum distillation, Delayed Coker, Hydroprocessing, FCC, Sulphur block, Utilities & Offsites, etc.
  • Experience in Energy Transition technologies, such as Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Bio-refineries, co-processing of vegetable oils, SAF, will be positively valued.
  • Experience acting as Owner's engineering (PMC) will be highly valued.
  • Customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives.
  • Leading skills.
  • Proficient in technical software, such as Aspen Hysys, Aspen Flare System Analyser, PRO-II, Promax, AFT Impulse.
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages.
  • Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
