Job Title: Senior Systems Safety Engineer

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in Munich, Germany or Madrid, Spain. As a key member of the Digital Engineering (DE) Global Center, you will play a critical role in supporting Boeing's transition to Digital Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy system safety analysis methods and solutions using a model-based approach.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure airplane and system level safety analysis are appropriately conducted.
  • Collaborate with a diverse engineering team to integrate airplane systems, human factors, and airplane integration into the operational environment.
  • Develop and maintain safety deliverables, including hazard assessments and safety analysis reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in Systems, Systems Safety, Hardware, or Software development.
  • Experience with ARP4754B, ARP4761A, MIL-STD-882E, or similar.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Must be legally able to work in Europe.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience performing system safety analysis and/or studies.
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial airplane certification, safety requirements, and procedures.
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of Hazard Analyses, FMEA's, Airplane Level Threats, and Fault Trees.
  • Experience with FAR Part 25.1309 and industry practices like ARP 4761 & 4754.
  • 5+ years of experience developing/applying aviation-related system safety analysis methods.

This is a locally hired position in Europe. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Europe. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
