About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our European Corporates team at DBRS. As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the credit worthiness of various project finance and infrastructure issuers, and maintaining rating opinions on these entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the project finance and infrastructure sectors, including methodologies and criteria for rating these entities.
  2. Lead external meetings and internal rating committees to discuss credit opinions and rating decisions.
  3. Analyze financial data and credit reports to support business development initiatives and contribute to the development of innovative research products.
  4. Produce high-quality credit reports, research notes, and commentaries on rated entities, and lead the development of topical research and industry studies.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with issuers, investors, and other stakeholders, and represent DBRS externally at conferences and with media.
  6. Respond to inquiries from investors and media representatives, and contribute to the refinement of research products and rating approaches.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 7 years of applicable financial analysis experience, with specific credit experience related to project finance or infrastructure finance.
  2. Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  3. Solid project finance, infrastructure, and financial markets knowledge, with strong analytical skills and focus on detail.
  4. Strong corporate finance and financial statement analytical abilities, with experience in legal review of contracts and financial agreements.
  5. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to work interactively in a team environment.
  6. Experience in broader PPP and infrastructure industry is a strong asset, as is previous rating agency experience.
  7. Completion of the CFA or MBA program is an asset.
  8. Willingness to travel as required.
