Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at U.S. Bank. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough credit reviews on corporate mid-tier cases, analyzing financial statements, and making recommendations to ensure the credit quality and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct credit reviews on corporate mid-tier cases, analyzing financial statements and credit reports to assess creditworthiness.
  • Engage in negotiations with customers and Relationship Managers to make recommendations and decisions regarding onboarding new customers or additional facilities for existing ones.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, Relationship Managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the onboarding process and ensure timely credit decisions.
  • Monitor customer accounts to maximize credit quality and minimize risk, and maintain control over credit standings of accounts.
  • Investigate and analyze credit risk, and provide credit information and references as requested.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and credit reports.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices, with a strong understanding of credit scoring models and credit risk assessment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Finance qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA, or ICM.
  • Experience in credit risk management, with a strong understanding of credit risk assessment and credit scoring models.
