The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our Database team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and performing database maintenance and performance optimization.
  • Implementing customer requirements, resolving technical issues quickly and thoroughly, and collaborating with partner teams to resolve problems.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining DB2 LUW instances and Microsoft SQL instances.
  • Managing the compliance process, including configuration-related security processes, access management, patch management, and other related tasks.
  • Managing migration processes and collaborating with development teams to optimize processes and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least three years of experience managing Microsoft SQL databases in Windows environments and DB2 databases in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting to automate processes and a basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, AIX, Linux), backup, monitoring, and storage.
  • Knowledge of high availability environments, including MS SQL Server Cluster and DB2 HADR.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of other database managers such as Sybase and PostgreSQL is a plus.
