Solution Designer for Service Desk and Workplace

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Designer to join our team at Mercedes-Benz. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure and Operations department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing business-specific solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement IT projects, including transforming business objectives into IT deliverables.
  • Provide consulting to business partners on tailored IT services and solutions, and propose innovative solutions or other possible uses.
  • Monitor, track, and troubleshoot the Service Desk and Workplace service towers, providing corrective actions where needed.
  • Manage information security risk and compliance for the region.
  • Implement, execute, and monitor IT security concepts based on IT standards.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered and that the implementation of all KPIs is on track.
  • Track all audit and compliance closures in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Execute the IT infrastructure strategy based on local and regional business strategies, as well as the global IT strategy.
  • Ensure business needs are met and that IT and business are aligned at the country, cluster, and regional levels.

**Requirements**

  • Degree in IT, Industrial/Economics Engineering, Business Administration, or Higher Education in IT System Administration and Networking, or a similar field.
  • Proven knowledge of IT infrastructure environments from manufacturers such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Microsoft, NetApp, VMware, or others.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English. Other languages to be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant area of expertise.
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies.
  • Service Now Administration Expert: reporting, activity tracking, dashboard creation.
