About the Role

As a Global Demand Planner at DSM, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success by developing and implementing demand planning strategies that optimize supply and resources.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Regional Teams: Work closely with regional teams to review and refine demand plans for strategic categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Market Analysis and Forecasting: Assess market changes and significant variances in forecasts, recommending revisions and tactics to ensure accurate demand planning.
  3. Demand Planning and Modeling: Collect and analyze past and future demand factors, including distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products, and promotion plans, to forecast and model their impacts on demand.
  4. Exception Management: Identify and resolve potential issues using demand-planning exception reports, ensuring accurate and reliable demand planning.
  5. Consensus-Based Demand Planning: Prepare and lead demand reviews to create a consensus-based demand plan, driving collaboration and alignment across teams.
  6. S&OP Meetings: Participate in S&OP meetings, providing demand information and analysis to inform business decisions.
  7. Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Develop, monitor, and communicate reports on changes and forecast accuracy to business unit and supply chain organizations, driving continuous improvement and optimization.

Requirements
  1. Education: Graduate degree in Engineering, Administration, or similar field; Master's in Supply Chain is a plus.
  2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Demand and/or Business Planning, preferably in a supply chain background.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to collaborate in multinational, multicultural teams, proficient in English, and good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of SAP and Kinaxis is a plus.
