Job Summary

The Database Administrator role in the Database Services Team is responsible for the overall delivery of the Oracle Database-related pieces for all the applications within the IFS Cloud Suite. This position requires a strong understanding of database systems and operations, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of our database services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily database operations, following established processes and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of our database services.
  • Act as a DBA resource to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with client systems, and provide guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
  • Serve as a final point of escalation for complex database issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Development team to provide feedback and guidance on improving the IFS product set in future releases.
  • Develop and implement backup solutions for the IFS Application suite to meet the needs of our organization and our customers.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Oracle Database systems and operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
