Health and Safety Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon's team as a Health and Safety Manager at one of our Fulfillment Centres. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, while also driving improvements in productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the health and safety function at the Fulfillment Centre, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
- Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
- Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery and processes.
- Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics.
- Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
- Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
- Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
- Implement and review company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
We are looking for a highly experienced and qualified Health and Safety Manager to join our team. You will have a degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as Occupational Health and Safety, and a proven track record of managing health and safety functions in a similar environment. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
