ADAS and Automated Vehicle Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Developer Engineer, you will be part of the Electronics team at Applus IDIADA, where your mission will be to implement control software for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including:

  • Active Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Highway Pilot (HWP)
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
  • Last Mile Taxi (LMAT)

Additional experience in the following functions will be appreciated:

  • Lane Keeping Assistant (LKA)
  • BlindSpot Detection (BSD)
  • Autonomous Emergency Steering (AES)

You will be responsible for:

  • Software development for the high-level control layer of the functions
  • Creating modular and reusable embedded software design along with associated documentation
  • Developing specific test cases and performing unit, module, and integration software testing along with required documentation
  • Performing required version and configuration management activities
  • Rapid prototyping implementation
  • Control layer validation in SiL/MiL and mule vehicle
  • Supporting project management

Additional valued competences:

  • Control strategies proposal
  • Sensor performance validation
  • Sensor data fusion validation
  • System application and tuning
Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Requirements management
  • MISRA C, ISO 26262, and AUTOSAR standards
  • Proven experience in software development (Simulink, C/C++, Assembly)
  • Good communication skills and confident in discussions at different hierarchical levels
  • Recognizable empathy, with team spirit, and with high level of assertiveness
  • Committed, goal-driven, with successful result orientation and with strong service orientation
  • Open to work in a very international company with multicultural team
Education

We require:

  • University degree: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering. Specialised in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Telecommunications
