Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Payments Specialist to join our Operations team in Malaga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of client payments, managing payment issues, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and process client payments in accordance with internal processes and SLAs.
  • Complete and verify payment beneficiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage payment issues and queries related to SWIFT and domestic payments, including processing query messages.
  • Investigate non-received, short, or returned payments, and process or escalate as required.
  • Reconcile client funds and outbound payments across Ebury's network of bank accounts.
  • Verify remitter bank account data and assign currency accounts to clients as requested.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of different payment clearing schemes in various jurisdictions.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in Fintech, International Payments, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of SWIFT in a cross-border payments context, including MT103 message types.
  • Basic understanding of FX products offered by Ebury, including spot, fixed forward, window forward, and non-deliverable forward.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure with strict time-frames.
  • Effective research skills and ability to find solutions independently.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
