Customer Payments Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Payments Analyst to join our Operations team in Malaga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of client payments, managing payment issues, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process client payments in accordance with internal processes and SLAs.
- Manage payment beneficiaries, including completion and verification of payment details.
- Complete allocated tasks with focus and in a timely manner, communicating status updates to colleagues and supervisors as needed.
- Investigate and resolve payment issues, including SWIFT and domestic payments, in line with internal processes and SLAs.
- Process payment returns and rejections, and reconcile client funds and outbound payments.
- Verify remitter bank account data and assign currency accounts to clients as requested.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of different payment clearing schemes and international payment systems.
- At least 1+ years of experience in Fintech, International Payments, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of SWIFT and MT message types.
- Basic understanding of FX products offered by Ebury, including spot, fixed forward, window forward, and non-deliverable forward.
- Proactive and diligent, with excellent attention to detail and effective research skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
