About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Chemical Sales Specialist to join our UK team. As a key member of our Laboratory Chemicals Division, you will be responsible for representing our brand portfolio to customers and supporting our channel partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a full understanding of our capabilities under the brands Fisher Chemical, Thermo Scientific, and Fisher BioReagents.
  • Act as an ambassador of Thermo Fisher Scientific and embody our company values.
  • Build long-term, productive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop and implement an effective territory sales plan, including a Target Account Plan.
  • Analyze sales on a monthly basis and understand reasons for business deviations.
  • Build relationships with all channel partners, including Fisher Scientific, and provide support for key accounts.
  • Provide regular reports on customer visit progress, pipeline monitoring, and target account progress.
  • Effectively plan customer visits to maximize personal contact and make sales presentations.
  • Submit enquiries and follow up quotations to maximize numbers and conversion rates.
Requirements
  • Field-based experience in a commercial environment within the chemicals market.
  • A university degree in chemistry or equivalent.
  • The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and work well in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in all customer situations.
  • Tenacity and determination to exceed targets.
  • Good organizational skills with clear prioritization of short and long-term tasks.
