Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Vèringer Engineering. The successful candidate will be part of a cutting-edge scientific project that aims to demonstrate the feasibility of nuclear fusion power generation for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for executing work with varying levels of supervision, depending on the technical complexity of the task. This will involve studying and analyzing work packages, following the sequence of the Instruction Production Plan, and ensuring the desired quality and deadline are met.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in heavy boilermaking work, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Additionally, they will be able to maintain equipment and tools, and have knowledge of the standards and codes applicable to different processes.
The Mechanical Technician will also be responsible for writing weekly and/or daily reports, as well as detailed test reports and conclusions. Fluency in Advanced English or French is required, with Spanish being a plus. The successful candidate will also possess crane operator certification, working at height (harness) certification, and experience working in confined spaces.
