We are a global e-commerce company that empowers brands to expand their reach to over 200 countries. Our comprehensive integration solutions provide a seamless international checkout experience, covering local duties, taxes, fulfillment, delivery management, global returns, and payment processing.

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior leader to spearhead critical product development initiatives and serve as a key member of the Engineering leadership team at ESW. As the Senior Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the engineering strategy, mentoring and developing future leaders, and fostering high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the establishment and growth of the Madrid technology hub, ensuring the team has best-in-class technical talent to innovate and solve challenging business problems.
  • Provide leadership to multiple engineering teams in Madrid, setting clear goals and priorities to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, cohesive team of technology professionals, with a focus on Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • Foster career growth and strong team culture.
  • Set and oversee high-level technical strategy to ensure our system scales.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across functions to ensure cohesive planning, prioritization, and execution of projects.
  • Act as a key member of the global technology leadership team, contributing to company-wide technology initiatives.
  • Define and oversee the technical direction for the Madrid hub, ensuring that the architecture and solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with our roadmap.
Requirements
  • Proven leader that has delivered highly scalable, mission-critical, real-time solutions in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • You think strategically and understand how to weigh the pros and cons of different solutions and prioritize them relative to other.
  • Knowledge of our technology stack (e.g.,.NET Core, Microservices, NoSQL, Azure).
  • Experience in e-commerce, Logistics, or payments is an advantage.
  • Passionate about Agile and Lean methodologies, with experience in applying these frameworks to drive performance and innovation.
  • A proven mentor and developer of engineering talent, with a strong track record of fostering career growth and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment, ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
