Job Overview:

Join our dynamic Procurement team at Airbus Defence and Space, where we are seeking talented individuals to enhance our strategic sourcing capabilities.

As a pivotal member of our organization, you will engage with a global network of suppliers, directly influencing our Defence and Space initiatives. With a workforce of over 1200 professionals, our Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics division offers a unique environment for professional growth and development.

This role focuses on the Flight Controls Commodity, integral to our Advanced Defence Systems platforms. You will cultivate robust relationships with established suppliers and oversee complex project packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for your commodity area.
  • Manage supplier partnerships and development initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective commodity management.
  • Oversee the bidding, tendering, and supplier selection processes.
  • Drive procurement projects aimed at achieving synergies and cost savings.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements to meet program requirements.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and develop action plans for strategic suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, engineering, or project management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Experience in a matrix organization with a proven track record in stakeholder management.
  • Proficient in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and team leadership abilities.
  • Fluent in English, with negotiation-level proficiency.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
