In this role, you will be part of the Flight Controls Commodity team, focusing on all Airbus Defence and Space platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with established suppliers and manage intricate projects that are vital to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for your designated commodities.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, ensuring their alignment with our organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to facilitate effective management of your commodity area.
- Oversee the procurement process, including bids, tenders, and supplier selection.
- Drive initiatives aimed at delivering cost efficiencies and value creation.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet program requirements and expectations.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and develop action plans to enhance supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, engineering, or project management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Experience in a matrix organization with a proven track record in stakeholder management.
- Proficient in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional relationship-building and team leadership abilities.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
This role offers high visibility within the Procurement function and the opportunity to interface with various departments, including PMO, Services, Quality, and Engineering.
