Strategic Procurement Specialist

Join our dynamic Procurement team at Airbus Defence and Space, where we are seeking talented individuals to enhance our strategic sourcing capabilities.
As a key player in our global organization, you will engage with a diverse range of suppliers, impacting our Defence and Space programs significantly. Our Procurement department is dedicated to fostering innovation and efficiency across all operations.
In this role, you will be part of the Flight Controls Commodity team, responsible for managing relationships with established suppliers and overseeing complex projects. Your expertise will contribute to the strategic direction of our sub-commodities, ensuring alignment with market trends and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commodity strategy.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead development initiatives.
- Coordinate the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) to ensure effective management of your sub-commodity.
- Drive supplier selection processes and lead negotiations to meet program expectations.
- Participate in Procurement and Value Creation projects to achieve synergies and cost savings.
- Establish and manage contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and define action plans for strategic supplier development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Engineering, or Project Management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Experience in a matrix organization with a proven track record in stakeholder management.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent relationship-building and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
