About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Application Security team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain threat models for various software projects, utilizing your expertise in cloud computing and security.
  2. Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews, focusing on Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  3. Create security automation tools to enhance our application security posture.
  4. Perform adversarial security analysis using cutting-edge tools to augment manual efforts.
  5. Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams, promoting a culture of security awareness.
  6. Offer security architecture and design guidance to ensure the secure development of our applications.
  7. Lead the execution and definition of security strategy for your team, driving innovation and excellence.
  8. Mentor and develop teammates both technically and professionally, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  9. Identify and advocate for new technologies to mitigate complex risks, staying ahead of emerging threats.
  10. Navigate novel situations and problems, applying your expertise to find effective solutions.
