Application Security Engineer

Jones Lang Lasalle is a global leader in real estate services, and we're committed to empowering our people to shape a brighter future. Our Application Security team is seeking a skilled professional to help us validate the security of our services, applications, and websites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct application security reviews using industry-standard tooling and manual code analysis to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Review third-party services, including SaaS providers, to ensure they meet our security requirements.
  • Assess the security posture of potential mergers and acquisitions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain application security guidance documentation and provide training to internal development teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and industry trends, and translate this knowledge into practical recommendations for our team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Security.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in cloud security, network security, application security, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP Top Ten, CWE/SANS Top 25, and common application vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with code review techniques and tools for identifying security vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
