Fashion Communications Administrator

Join Primark's Global Fashion Communications PR team as a key member responsible for the coordination of the press office and showroom. This role will focus on the management of samples, image databases, press requests, and influencer activations, supporting Primark's Iberian market in Spain and Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain online image banks, updating the wider team regularly.
  • Research necessary collateral for press events and seasonal trend activations.
  • Draft and write effective PR materials, including press releases, social media plans, event running orders, and briefing documents.
  • Pitch to online press, print, and influencers, ensuring effective communication.
  • Compile fashion and news alerts for global markets, maintaining an updated calendar of comms in line with the global marketing calendar.
  • Support the implementation of PR strategies in line with the global marketing calendar and Primark brand.
  • Manage media and influencer gifting, seeding, and production of goody bags for media and events.
  • Manage day-to-day PR samples to media, influencers, and external agencies, ensuring timely and organized returns.
  • File press folders and reference material, archive press clippings, and track brand coverage received daily through Unicepta and Wearisma.
  • Assist with ad-hoc press activity, press events, in-store events, and influencer activations.
  • Maintain knowledge of influencer marketing campaigns, agencies, and paid activations.
  • Attend team meetings to review progress and identify future objectives.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the social media landscape, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging tools.
  • Support creating content for Primark's IG account, working with senior team members to ensure a Primark look and feel.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the press office, keeping it new and fresh with key products, working with Primark HQ.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, keeping up to date on fashion trends, styles, celebrities, and the online community in specific markets.

Essential Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • At least 1 year's work experience in PR or marketing.
  • Awareness and interest in the social influencer landscape.
  • Good level of English language, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
  • Adobe Photoshop and InDesign knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be proactive and assertive, reacting to key business requirements in a timely manner.

  • Proven ability in managing sensitive matters while ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills, while demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and possess the ability to push back with professionalism.
