Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Operations Manager to join our team at Leap29, a leading player in the Solar Energy sector. This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Barcelona or Madrid, where you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Oversight: Manage Solar PV plants to ensure they meet and exceed performance targets, focusing on efficiency and safety, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize asset performance.
  2. Maintenance Management: Oversee planned and corrective maintenance activities to maximize profitability and operational reliability, and develop strategies to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  3. Development Support: Provide expert advice on operability during the development phase, define O&M scope, support contract negotiations, and assess operational risks to ensure successful project execution.
  4. Transition Management: Implement effective O&M strategies to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operations, and optimize asset performance from day one.
  5. Ongoing Operations: Lead O&M activities, manage relationships with external service providers or internal teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Master's degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical Engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy systems.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in renewable asset operations, with a strong focus on Solar PV systems, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
  3. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of power generation systems, Solar PV assets, and related electrical systems (e.g., substations, transformers, inverters), and experience with energy management systems.
  4. Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and team leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive results-oriented teams.
  5. Personal Attributes: Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on innovation and excellence.
