Job Title: Associate, Loan Agency

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Loan Agency to join our team at Apex Group. As a key member of our Agency Department, you will play a crucial role in the review of financing agreements, administration of transactions, and management of loan administration for different jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the review of financing agreements and closing deals
  • Administration and bookkeeping of transactions
  • Setting of interest periods and reference interest rates applicable to each period
  • Ensure client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines
  • Calculate settlements/amounts to be paid by borrowers and lenders in accordance with agreements such as fees, interest, and principal repayments/redemptions
  • Management of loan administration for different jurisdictions
  • Management of communications to be delivered to borrowers and lenders, and different loan admin departments, according to financing agreements
  • Coordinate, organize, and participate in meetings and conference calls required by the day-to-day management of the Agency Department
  • Coordinate, manage, and register communications and issues raised among borrowers, lenders, obligors, and advisers of the financing
  • Execute instructions to make payments, on each payment date, according to the financing agreement
  • Coordinate agency duties with the Transaction Management Team and support the activity of the Transaction Management Team when required
  • Training and direct support to different jurisdictions, in accordance with established procedures
  • Cooperate with IT team in developing in-house software
  • Management and coordination of syndicated guarantees facilities and factoring facilities
  • Monitor and control the periodic or one-off compliance by the borrower of all obligations and compulsory actions and milestones set forth in the financing agreements

Requirements:

  • Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner, and proficient team player
  • Experience in syndicated loan administration, ideally in agency management, is a plus
  • C1/C2 English is a must
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Ability to take initiative and multitask
  • Strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and can-do mindset
  • Willingness to learn and get relevant experience in the syndicated lending sector
