We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Programmer to join our research team at Sebibc. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a new research database, working closely with our scientists to adapt the data to their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop a new research database to support our environmental epidemiology research projects.
- Search for and download open access data sources, and implement harmonization protocols for successful integration of data.
- Write and run scripts to transform the data into a common data format, and interact with our scientists to adapt the data to their scientific needs.
- Contribute to other research lines of the group, such as the development of operational health early warning systems driven by real-time weather forecasts.
- Good programming skills in R, with experience in Linux environment and scripting.
- Experience with Shiny, Python, and/or NetCDF, Shapefiles, and geospatial data.
- Experience with the management and analysis of climate and/or health data.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Full-time contract for 6 months.
- Salary range: 20K.
