Job Summary:

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Production Support Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The successful candidate will be part of the ADS department and will be responsible for supporting production activities related to MRTT conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support production activities related to MRTT conversion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.
  2. Coordinate multifunctional teams to achieve delivery goals without pending works, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  3. Ensure Health and Safety, FOD, and House Keeping standards are met in the area, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Accomplish the level of quality required, reducing the cost of non-quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Follow schedules and lead times, ensuring efficient production processes and minimizing delays.
  6. Follow Job Cards instructions and MI tasks associated with continuous improvement, driving innovation and excellence.
  7. Organize tasks to achieve high levels of efficiency, streamlining production processes and reducing waste.
  8. Accomplish conversion tasks within established budgets, proposing cost-reduction initiatives when possible.
  9. Manage shop floor incidents and control their flow, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  10. Contribute to Production excellence by managing and leading Production tools, driving process improvements and best practices.
  11. Contribute to staff improvement expertise by increasing their capabilities and skills, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  12. Work in double shift, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic production environment.
  13. Provide shop floor support to solve issues during manufacturing processes, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  14. Support the multi-functional team for problem-solving and improvement processes, driving innovation and excellence.
  15. Maintain manufacturing structures and processes, associated documentation (work order, technical instruction, job card), updated and accurate.
  16. Provide manufacturing feedback (KAIZEN, Practical Problem Solving), driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  17. Update documentation, technical solutions, improvement proposals, and implementation, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices.
  18. Support the department during aircraft conversion into MRTT, particularly disassembling and aircraft stress-free.
  19. Maintain facilities in adequate order, complying with standards of HK, FOD, and safety rules, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing systems.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in Production or Engineering Manufacturing, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced production environment.
  3. Experience in A330 /green aircraft/modified aircraft and tanker systems, with a strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing systems.
  4. Management of all qualifications of personnel and facilities required from Airworthiness Authorities, both civil and military, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Language skills: English and Spanish at an advanced level, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Knowledge in SIPLA, Digital Bar Chart, SNT, DEMAT, CATIA, with experience in planning systems and project management.
  7. Experience in managing people and conflicts, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  8. Team spirit, autonomous, and willingness to learn, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
  9. High adaptability to work on new topics, new business, and in a network mode, with a strong ability to propose new ideas and drive innovation.
