About the Role:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Support Services Librarian to join our team at New York University's Madrid campus. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, assisting students and professors, and overseeing the acquisition of new materials.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, as well as a strong understanding of learning management systems and other software related to teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the NYU Madrid Library, including overseeing the library collection and providing personalized guidance to individual students working on research projects.
- Assist and support the academic team on the planning, staffing, and execution of co-curricular events, particularly those involving the holdings of the library.
- Produce a periodical report for faculty and library users on resources, innovations, programming, etc., and organize and lead a periodical workshop on specific aspects of NYU Madrid's resources for teaching and research.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Library Sciences or a related field, with a strong background in library management and experience with appropriate software and platforms. A Master's degree in the social sciences or humanities is also desirable.
