Job Title: Regional Category Manager Rail Business

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the commodity of Civil works & Installation & Commissioning for Signaling and Electrification.
  • Develop and implement installation service productivity programs to achieve maximum contribution to targets.
  • Ensure PVO transparency globally by correct ESN coding and derive an appropriate commodity strategy.
  • Define and implement strategies within area of responsibility, evaluate and document in Commodity Strategy Master (CSM), and communicate the strategies.
  • Negotiate, create frame contracts and Project contracts with suppliers, and document contracts at Supplier Management Systems (SCM STAR).
  • Foster usage of eProcurement tools (eRfX, eAuction/ eBidding).
  • Identify procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces, and evaluate financial risks within suppliers.
  • Perform Supplier Management, including supplier selection, documentation, and communication, regular supplier and strategic evaluations, supplier qualification, and supplier development.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Master in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Civil Works, or similar.
  • Deep knowledge in Telecommunications, Signalling, Civil Works, Cables & Power Supplies Installation.
  • Interest or experience in Railway Infrastructure systems, Signalling, and Commissioning.
  • Fluent speaking and writing level of Spanish and English.
  • More than 4 years of proven experience as Category Manager (Strategic Purchasing) in the contracting of site installation services.
  • Experience in project management and field experience, and mastering the installation phases in railway and/or energy projects, will be highly valued.
  • Solid Contract Management skills.
  • Professional level of: SAP, Excel, Power point, Word.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Availability to travel.
