Job Summary

The Associate Director of IT Delivery is responsible for leading and executing strategic IT programs that enhance the capabilities and performance of R&D; at Almirall. This role involves collaborating with the Service Delivery team, IT department, and external partners to integrate business processes and leverage technology to meet specific business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Change via Technology
    • Act as the point of contact with the IT Business Partner to translate business needs into effective processes and technical solutions.
    • Promote opportunities for applying technology to business problems and ensure the department has a good understanding of business processes and technical solutions.
  • Direct IT Project Planning and Portfolio Management
    • Manage team capacity to ensure business objectives are met, resources are properly used, and risks are managed.
    • Ensure all requests are documented, screened, and scheduled according to designated priorities.
    • Maximize the use of Agile delivery practices to become a transparent and trusted partner for business stakeholders.
  • Oversee Project Execution and Day-to-Day Operations
    • Ensure resources, either internal or external, are secured to meet business demands.
    • Ensure high-quality solutions are delivered and compliance with Regulatory standards, particularly in GXP environments.
    • Implement best practices for data security and data integrity.
  • People Management
    • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
    • Create development plans for each team member.
    • Create an inspiring team environment with open communication.
    • Motivate team members and recognize high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • More than 8 years of experience in R&D; application development, project management, and process design, with direct exposure to business.
  • Experience leading teams.
