About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team at MAHLE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex electronic hardware systems for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Hardware Requirements Analysis: Analyze and define the hardware requirements for our products, ensuring they meet the necessary functional and non-functional specifications.
  2. System Architecture Development: Allocate hardware blocks to multiple printed circuit boards (PCBAs) and ensure the functionality split between boards is consistent with the architecture and technically correct.
  3. Interface Definition and Trade-Offs: Perform the required trade-offs and ensure the interface definition between PCBAs is correct, ensuring seamless communication between components.
  4. Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate the work of several electronic engineers to ensure the full product electronic design is consistent and meets the required specifications.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Language Skills: English (B2) is required, with Spanish (C1) and German being desirable.
  3. Technical Background: Proven experience in electronic design, with a focus on automotive applications.
  4. Design and Validation Tools: Proficiency in using electronic design tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, and Expedition, as well as knowledge of standard electronic design analysis and verification techniques.
  5. Automotive Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Automotive SPICE processes and functional safety standards (ISO26262).
  6. Experience: Several years of experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications.
