About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team at MAHLE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electronic hardware for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze hardware requirements and system functional architecture to ensure consistency and technical correctness.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of several Electronic Engineers to ensure the full product electronic design is consistent.
  • Develop high-level hardware specifications based on system requirements.
  • Design and allocate hardware functionality to multiple PCBAs.
  • Manage the electronic product tree and track compatibility between different versions.
  • Prepare connectors summary and board-to-board interface specification.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure consistency between boards.
  • Coordinate design justification and allocate design verification steps to different boards.
  • Ensure design and component reuse across boards on the same equipment when possible.
  • Ensure that electronic design and validation tasks are planned, reviewed, and completed.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or similar.
  • English (B2) and Spanish (C1) desirable. German will be a plus.
  • Technical background in electronic design (automotive preferred).
  • Knowledge of electronic analysis and simulation tools (SPICE, PSIM, Mathcad, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of standard electronic design analysis and verification (Derating analysis, WCA, Reliability calculation, FMEDA).
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic design tools (Schematic and PCB suites): Altium, OrCAD, Expedition.
  • Experience with Altium Designer is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262).
  • Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE).
  • Several years' experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications.
  • Experience in power electronics equipment designs.
  • Experience in writing/deriving HW requirements from customer/system requirements.
  • Experience with system/block diagrams, electronics schematics, e-Layout, mechanical design, 3D models, 2D drawings, Bill Of Materials, automotive validations procedures and normative, validation plans, and automotive quality deliverables.
  • Experience in RFI/RFQ offer preparation, cost estimation, risk analysis, and requirements negotiation.
