About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team at MAHLE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex electronic hardware systems for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Hardware Requirements Analysis: Analyze and define the hardware requirements for our products, ensuring they meet the necessary functional and non-functional specifications.
  2. System Architecture Development: Develop and allocate the hardware architecture for our products, ensuring consistency and technical correctness.
  3. Trade-Offs and Interface Definition: Perform trade-offs and ensure the correct interface definition between hardware components.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the work of several electronic engineers to ensure the full product electronic design is consistent.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree in Physics, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or similar.
  2. Language Skills: English (B2), Spanish (C1) desirable, German will be a plus.
  3. Technical Background: Technical background in electronic design, automotive preferred.
  4. Design and Validation Experience: Experience in electronic design validation, functional, electrical, EMC.
  5. Analysis and Simulation Tools: Knowledge of electronic analysis and simulation tools (SPICE, PSIM, Mathcad, MATLAB).
  6. Design Analysis and Verification: Knowledge of standard electronic design analysis and verification (Derating analysis, WCA, Reliability calculation, FMEDA).
  7. Design Tools: Proficiency in the use of electronic design tools (Schematic and PCB suites): Altium, OrCAD, Expedition.
  8. Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety: Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes and functional safety (ISO26262).
  9. Development Process: Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE).
  10. Complex Product Design Experience: Several years' experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications.
