We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive in the high voltage substation sector to grow the opportunity pipeline and orders in new and existing markets for substations and all the different solutions that Siemens Energy has to support our customers in the energy transition.
The main objective of this position is to develop offers for customers' high voltage connections, leading the communication with them, and ensuring the offer meets their needs and expectations as much as technically possible while maintaining profitable margins.
In coordination with the relevant internal Siemens Energy team members, you will steer the development of offers, lead the communication with customers, and ensure the offer meets their needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain partnerships with key customers.
- Take ownership of the whole sales process for projects opportunities within the Lead Management through to Project Handover and make necessary coordination with other involved parties to provide technically accurate and commercially/financially compliant proposals.
- Understand customer needs and requirements to create successful strategies offering tailored solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to develop effective and differentiated strategies & tactics to achieve business objectives.
- Define Bid/Win Strategy and developing technical solutions to meet customer needs.
- Responsible for the project bid clarification and negotiation with customer. Analyze customer's requirements and RFQs to clearly understand objectives, scope, timelines, negotiation points and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure that the Sales and Tendering processes are implemented in line with Siemens Energy process and in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Work together with relevant partners: Customers, Suppliers, Managers, Colleagues), effective communication Written & Verbal.
- Coordinates with engineering, factories, service groups and marketing groups to resolve configuration, scope and technical changes during the quoting process.
- A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Knowledge and proven experience of the grid technology market.
- >5 years experience in HV substations solutions and systems. Understanding of customer business drivers and process requirements. Project management experience will be an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of high voltage substations and their components.
- Willingness to travel as needed and to have regular customer visits.
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish. Able to communicate fluently, collaborate with both internal and external customers with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence other teams to collaborate.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects under tight time frame while handling customer pressure.
- Disciplined in planning, organizing, and structuring of resources. Also to be considered good analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic analyst, Entrepreneurial spirit.
- Teammate and able to communicate multiple levels of customers, peers and team members.
- Ability to work in an accurate and structured way.
- High skills for collaborative work among diverse teams and different countries, ability to create good team environment and be a key part to motivate it towards the common and individual objectives.
- Capability to be self-supporting (able to work without supervision) and quickly learn new concepts.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools and sales software.
- EHS Knowledge and Quality mindset.
