Job Title: Customer Service Representative
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic customer service representative to join our team at Navy Exchange. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing top-notch product knowledge, and driving sales growth.

About You
As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will also have basic math skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing premier customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintaining store appearance, including organizing merchandise and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Cross-selling products, suggesting relevant items based on individual needs, and upselling to increase sales revenue.
  • Operating a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and handling cash accurately.
  • Completing various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation tasks efficiently.
  • Participating in periodic inventories and maintaining accurate inventory processes.

Requirements
>To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
  • Basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • The ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
  • A positive and outgoing nature, with a desire to provide outstanding service.

Work Environment
>This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs in some departments. Work is typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending upon location.

Estimated Salary Range
$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
