Job Summary

Grupo Smartrental is seeking an experienced International Director of Operations to lead the planning, direction, and coordination of hotel operations in assigned geographical areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective methods and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct daily hotel operations, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and implementing company policies and standards.
  • Coordinate capital improvements and property improvement plans, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve concerns.
  • Oversee service quality levels, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial measurements.
  • Identify operational performance gaps and implement measures to correct deficiencies.
  • Partner with the COO and work according to departmental guidelines and priorities.
  • Implement and manage the hotel's daily quality process, including communicating goals, empowering team members, and measuring satisfaction.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, provide supervision, and conduct evaluations.
  • Control operating expenses and propose corrective initiatives.
  • Monitor P&L and STR reports, and update policies and procedures in line with company strategy.
  • Unify management systems criteria for all hotels in the assigned geographical area.
  • Conduct audits and set up improvement plans with hotel directors.
  • Identify and develop talents, and work closely with the HR department.
  • Analyze results and develop improvement action plans.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in hotel operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
