Job Title: R&D Transformer Design, Diagnostic and Tests Domain Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Transformer Design, Diagnostic and Tests Domain Expert to join our Transformers Global Team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation.

Responsibilities:
  • Run standardization projects and propose new engineering and life cycle assessment concepts around new services.
  • Develop and simulate the expected performance of new services in real pilots.
  • Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new and existing transformer services.
  • Make standard policies, instructions, and training material to ensure the effective implementation of targeted processes from engineering, quality, and knowledge transfer standpoints.
  • Provide support to other team members and local units as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, physics, or similar.
  • More than 5 years of proven experience in electrical design, condition assessment, and testing of power transformers.
  • Experience with advanced numerical simulations and proficiency in commercial simulation tools.
  • Proven experience in transformer condition assessment and testing.
  • Spirit of innovation, out of the box thinking.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Collaborative, structured, problem-solving, self-driven, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
