We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Simulation Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As an Electrical Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for representing the transient and steady-state electrical characteristics of our product portfolio within power system studies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize electrical simulation models in various simulation tools such as PSCAD, DigSilent PF, Matlab/Simulink, and Siemens PSS/E.
- Parametrize and maintain simulation models over the entire product life cycle.
- Perform various kinds of simulation studies on Wind Power Plants, including stability studies and harmonic studies, and present the results in reports.
- Optimize Grid Code Compliance within electrical studies.
- Benchmark and validate developed simulation models.
- Investigate and analyze wind turbine functions/features in relation to connected grid systems.
- Feed back experience to product development based on practical Grid Code Compliance know-how due to grid integration studies.
- Optimize model development and electrical study processes by automation.
- Model testing and quality assurance.
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
- Experience with EMT and RMS modeling and simulation in at least one simulation software like PSCAD, PSS/E, DigSilent Powerfactory.
- Programming experience in Python, Fortran, or C/C++.
- Experience with Grid Code requirements.
- Self-responsible, structured, customer and solution-oriented working mindset.
- Intercultural understanding, and thrive on working collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluent English spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive, assertive, and a team player.
