Job Overview

The Dutch Payroll Team Lead Specialist is responsible for supporting the country and using their functional and technical expertise and country-specific knowledge to support operational teams in ensuring they are skilled and knowledgeable in meeting client deadlines.

About the Role

This position will be aligned with the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital ('Divested Group'). As part of this transition, you understand that the information you submitted for your application with Alight will be shared with the Divested Group company. If you are made an offer of employment, it will be contingent on undergoing and successfully completing a background check consistent with the Divested Group company employment policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Managers with client engagement, ensuring all information is accurate and provided on time
  • Support the payroll process to ensure the scope of service is feasible and highlight any concerns immediately to the Senior Operations Manager
  • Provide support and guidance for all implementations and go-lives, whilst ensuring automation and standards are utilized
  • Lead projects designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
  • Provide daily functional support to the teams, to support the successful delivery of payrolls
  • Maintain the Country Solution workbook
  • Manage the legislation roadmap and ensure the team is upskilled in upcoming changes and processes are updated where needed
  • Resolve Technical/Functional issues escalated from the team and report system issues/defects correctly, logging tickets with necessary details and evidence
  • Work with Operational Management, Transformation, and Products to implement automation, innovation, and continuous improvement programmes
  • Ensure Year End deadlines are met successfully
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment
Requirements and Qualifications

This role requires adherence to all Security, Compliance procedures, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 100% attainment of customer SLA agreements, adoption and support of innovation initiatives, reduction of client escalations through knowledge transfer, and demonstration of professionalism and accountability. Excellent Dutch written and verbal skills, as well as good English skills, are essential.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of various inputs and outputs such as third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits, and other key areas that integrate with payroll. They will also be able to identify and mitigate risks, work collaboratively in a team environment, and demonstrate self-motivation and a willingness to learn.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
