Job Title: Web Administrator

Job Description:

The Unified Web Hosting team is seeking a skilled Web Administrator to provide on-going administration and support for the Web Hosting Service. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Linux operating system administration and web applications.

Scope of Work:

  • Support the Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services as per arising needs.
  • Have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and write code in some scripting language: Bash, Python, PHP, etc.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system.
  • Knowledge of Open-Source Web Servers like Nginx or Apache.
  • Experience with versioning systems (git).
  • Cloud-Based services (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience as Web Applications Administrator with a significant exposure to PHP, Java and/or Python.

Required Soft Skills:

  • Ability to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions.
  • Ability to interact with customers, ability to assess and gather customer requirements, comparing pros and cons, to propose best suited option and turn them into solution designs.

Desirable Certifications:

  • Cloud certifications (Azure & AWS) are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge & Experience of the LAMP stack would be an advantage.
