Job Title: Web Administrator

Alter Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Web Administrator to join our team. As a Web Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering on-going administration and support for our Web Hosting Service.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Linux operating system administration and web applications. You will support our Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services as per arising needs.

Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant:
  • Support the Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services
  • Have deep knowledge of Linux operating system administration and web applications
  • Ability to understand and write code in some scripting language (Bash, Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Cloud-Based services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Service Management methodologies (ITIL)
Required Technical Skills:
  • Prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system
  • Knowledge of Open-Source Web Servers like Nginx or Apache
  • Experience with versioning systems (git)
  • Load-balancing and proxy technologies including CDNs
Desirable Certifications:
  • Cloud certifications (Azure & AWS)
  • Knowledge & Experience of the LAMP stack
Required Soft Skills:
  • Ability to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions
  • Ability to interact with customers, assess and gather customer requirements
  • Willingness to learn on the job
