Mechanical Design Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. in Zaragoza. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing the mechanical structure and product components of our dry transformers.
Your Responsibilities
- Design dry transformers mechanically, based on customer specifications, international standards, and factory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and electrical designers to develop optimal technical solutions.
- Provide high-quality 3D and 2D documentation for manufacturing and suppliers.
- Develop technical documentation and instructions for our customers.
- Research ease of manufacture, material availability, and equipment using CAD/CAE software during the conceptual design process.
- Support other areas within operations during manufacturing stages.
- Participate in product-related continuous improvement activities and cost-out initiatives.
- Consult with other engineering groups to ensure the application of official technical standards and best practices.
Your Background
- Certificate of Higher Education in product design or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in design and execution.
- Previous experience and knowledge in CREO PTC 3D modeling system or similar software.
- Strong attitude for using basic computer applications (e.g. MS-Office).
- Fluent Spanish and B2 in English.
- Initiative, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations is a plus.
