Mechanical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Energy Spain. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical structures and product components for our dry transformers.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Dimensioning and Design: Use your expertise to dimension dry transformers mechanically based on customer specifications, international standards, and factory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with sales, project management, and electrical designers to develop optimal technical solutions.
- Documentation and Quality: Provide high-quality 3D and 2D documentation for manufacturing and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and meeting quality standards.
- Technical Support: Offer technical documentation and instructions to our customers when required, ensuring seamless communication and support.
- Research and Development: Conduct research on ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, using CAD/CAE software during the conceptual design process.
- Manufacturing Support: Support other areas within operations during manufacturing stages, ensuring smooth production and delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in product-related continuous improvement activities and cost-out initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Technical Standards: Consult with other engineering groups to ensure the application of official technical standards from Hitachi Energy and best practices across the factories.
- Education: Hold a Certificate of Higher Education related to product design or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Possess around 2 years of experience in design and execution, with a strong background in CREO PTC 3D modeling system or similar software.
- Skills: Demonstrate a strong attitude for using basic computer applications (e.g. MS-Office) and fluency in Spanish, with a B2 level in English.
- Initiative and Creativity: Showcase initiative, creativity, and great attention to detail, with knowledge of mechanical simulations considered a plus.
