About the Role:
Hitachi Energy Spain is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team in Zaragoza. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing the mechanical structure and product components of our functional systems.
Responsibilities:
- Dimension dry transformers mechanically based on customer specifications, international standards, and factory requirements.
- Work closely with sales, project management, and electrical designers to develop optimal technical solutions.
- Provide high-quality and timely 3D and 2D documentation for manufacturing and suppliers.
- Develop technical documentation and instructions for customers as needed.
- Research ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment using CAD/CAE software during the conceptual design process.
- Support other areas within operations during manufacturing stages.
- Participate in product-related continuous improvement activities and cost-out initiatives.
- Collaborate with other engineering groups to ensure the application of official technical standards from Hitachi Energy and best practices across factories.
Requirements:
- Certificate of Higher Education related to product design or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Around 2 years of experience in design and execution.
- Previous experience and knowledge in CREO PTC 3D modeling system or similar software.
- Strong attitude for using basic computer applications (e.g. MS-Office).
- Fluent in Spanish and B2 in English.
- Initiative, creativity, and great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of mechanical simulations will be considered a plus.
