Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Destinus Sa, a pioneering aerospace technology company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative aerospace components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from conceptual phase to manufacturing and integration.
  • Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation required for manufacturing and testing.
  • Deliver technical documentation, including engineering calculations and analysis, to substantiate design decisions.
  • Manage suppliers and manufacturers, addressing technical questions and resolving issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Select standard parts, fasteners, and equipment following industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, including machining, sheet metal forming, composites, and additive manufacturing.
  • Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge, including part design, DWGs, and DMU management.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills, including dimensioning calculations, load path definitions, and basic stress calculations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in Siemens tool suite, including NX and TeamCenter PLM system.
  • Experience with metallic and composite structures design.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, fuel systems, and component design.
